To have a living environment which is healthy a clean carpet is a must. Very quickly the carpet can get dirty. Just because you vacuum everyday does not necessarily mean that your carpet a really clean.  Here are several carpet cleaning tips to help you care for your carpet.

To loosen the dirt deep down use a shampoo solution and spray it on the carpet then allow it to dry before vacuuming it up.You can get you carpets clean by steam cleaning also.  To do this you use a liquid-based cleaning agent and a steam-cleaning machine which brings dirt to the carpet’s surface and pulls it out of the carpet. Both methods will do the job. It is a personal preference.

Most people are aware that shoes track in dirt and can ruin the carpet but so can bare feet on a carpet because of the oil in the skin.Socks or slippers should be worn by your family members in the house even if you are going to have a shoe free house.

 

Another thing you can do to help prevent stains on the carpet is to place a mat at the front door so people can wipe their feet before walking on your floors. This will help remove the larger particles of dirt before anyone enters your house. If you you can put a mat inside the front door also. When guests come the mat needs to be long enough for them to enter your home, wipe their feet, and close the door. Keep all your mats clean don’t forget.  When a mat reaches a point when it can no longer hold dirt, then the dirt ends up making it into the house.
