Tips About Cleaning Cloudy Decorative Mirrors

I have met a number of people who are having trouble with cleaning their mirrors that have become cloudy and today I want to try and help you in that regard.

If you have, say, a full length mirror and is now worn out and cloudy one thing I can say is that you are together with millions of others across the globe. I once owned a problem mirror myself; the family next door has been there too. Like me at some point, you might have tried everything you can to clean it to no avail.

So what do you do if you are not planning keep it? How do you go about cleaning it? As a decorative mirrors junkie I can share a few tips on how to go about doing this. These suggestions can apply to all kinds including large, oversized, compact, framed, unframed including bathroom floor length mirror.

You can simply clean them with some water. You can use warm or hot water. Make sure the water is plain or else it might not work. I know that this can work well especially for plexy glass.

Another option is to simply use vinegar and newspaper. If it was once cleaned with some oily or greasy stuff then this could work quite well.

Another alternative is to use spray cleaners like Windex or something similar. Spray cleaners work well generally well for some oversized bathroom mirrors and not for others. This is why you should not worry too much if this option does not work for you – just move on to the next option.

If all these tips fail then it probably means there are other reasons why it does not respond. For one if could be that the silver on the back of the mirror is peeling off. This could be a cause to get rid of it but if you really can’t then try to get it re-slivered.
