How safe is a home that has been cleaned with chemical agents? Some would argue that some germs and dirt may be safer then the cleaning products used to clean the area.
We use chemical cleaners for nearly everything in our houses: laundry, dishes, floors, windows, ourselves, our pets etc. The cleaners contain loads of chemicals that are harmful to us, our pets and our environment. I thought these were some interesting facts.
Keeping this area sanitized, fresh and clean should not be difficult if you have a garbage disposal system below your sink installed. However it is important to know how to properly clean it.
5. A longer hose can make all the difference, and mean that you can reach all the way up the stairs without having to carry your vacuum with you. A more rigid hose will also make cleaning the ceiling and curtains much easier too.
6. If your power cable is frayed, your vacuum cleaner might be intermittently cutting out. By replacing the power cable, rather than repairing it, you can ensure that there aren’t any more breaks in the cable.
Tea tree oil and lavender oil are germs worst enemies. Mix either oil with warm water to spray over surfaces that have mold or mildew on them and the anti-fungal agents that the oils contain will kill the mold and mildew before you know it. This spray is also good for keeping germs off of door handles.
Olive oil mixed with vinegar or lemon juice makes a handy wood furniture polish. Mix 3 parts olive oil to 1 part vinegar or 2 parts olive oil with 1 part lemon juice. Baking soda and coarse salt make powerful scours for those sticky, stuck-on messes in the kitchen.
No, there is no avoiding housework. But what you can avoid is putting your family’s health at risk with toxic cleaners. With a little effort, you can make your own, or simply fill up that reusable shopping bag with items labeled as non-toxic!
